While on vacation in Florida this past week, I was looking for a new show to binge. I went onto Netflix to see what new shows they had, and I came across one called Frequency. After reading the description, I was actually turned away. A time travelling, crime-drama did not seem that tempting to me. A couple days later I found myself still without a new show to watch, so out of desperation I decided to give it a shot…and I’m very happy I did.

I’ve never watched a pilot before and been so blown away. I was watching on my computer in the same room as my brother, and when the episode ended I just turned to him and went, “Holy fuck.” Three days later, we both finished the entire first (and thus far, only) season. Frequency has instantly become one of our favourite shows. Every episode just leaves you wondering what will happen next and it’s somewhat addictive. It hasn’t been renewed for a second season yet, but I really hope it keeps going. While the finale was a great season finale, it could also be a pretty good series finale if the show is ultimately discontinued. Nonetheless, if you’re looking for a show to watch, you shouldn’t think twice. Frequency is a must watch.

Based off of the 2001 movie starring Dennis Quaid with the same title, Frequency is about a father reconnecting with his daughter. The catch, though, is that they communicate through a radio. On one end, is Raimy – in 2016. On the other end, is her father, Frank – in 1996. I really don’t want to explain the plot any further, as it may spoil the experience for you. Go on Netflix right now, and start watching this show. You wont be disappointed.
